System Characteristics

  • Power per unit: 600W - 730W (actual draw).

  • Coverage per unit: ~1.2 m² per fixture.

  • Recommended plant density:

    • Sea of Green (SOG): 9-16 plants/m² (small pots 5-7L).

    • Screen of Green (SCROG): 4-6 plants/m² (pots 11-20L).


Environmental Control in Large Rooms

Forced Ventilation:

  • Strong extraction (calculate at least 300-400 m³/h per m²).

  • Cross air circulation (large oscillating fans).

  • Controlled fresh air intake.

Dehumidification:

  • Very important during flowering (strict RH control).

Target Temperature:

  • Day: 24-26°C

  • Night: 20-22°C

Relative Humidity:

  • Vegetative: 55-70%

  • Early flowering: 50-60%

  • Late flowering: 40-45%

⚠ The larger the space, the more stable the climate, but also higher risks of mold or pests if not fully controlled.


Cultivation Phases

🌱 Germination (0-10 days)

  • LED Power: 20-30% (120W-200W per fixture).

  • LED Height: 70-80 cm.

  • Photoperiod: 18/6.

  • Humidity: 70-80%.

  • Watering: Spraying or light micro-watering.


🌿 Vegetative Stage (3-5 weeks)

  • LED Power: 40-60% (240W-400W).

  • LED Height: 50-60 cm.

  • Photoperiod: 18/6.

  • Humidity: 60-70%.

  • Nutrients: Nitrogen-rich.

  • Training:

    • LST and SCROG are ideal for Spider LEDs (taking advantage of full coverage).

    • Topping can be done early.


🌸 Flowering Stage (8-10 weeks)

Transition (Week 1-2 flowering)

  • LED Power: 70-80% (450W-580W).

  • LED Height: 50 cm.

  • Photoperiod: 12/12.

  • Humidity: 50-55%.

Full Flowering (Week 3-8)

  • LED Power: 90-100% (600W-730W).

  • LED Height: 40-45 cm.

  • Photoperiod: 12/12.

  • Humidity: 45-50%.

  • CO₂ (optional): 900-1200 ppm (if PPFD > 1000 µmol/m²/s).

Late Flowering (Last 10-14 days)

  • LED Power: 80-100% (depending on plant development).

  • LED Height: 40-45 cm.

  • Watering: Root flushing.

  • Humidity: 40-45%.

  • Temperature: 20-24°C.

Bar-style LEDs allow uniformity and deep canopy penetration without burning if climate is properly controlled.


Large-Scale Grow Room Management

Automated Climate Control

  • Integrated environmental control systems (extraction, dehumidification, temperature, CO₂ controllers).

Continuous PPFD and DLI Monitoring

  • Use PAR meters and calculate DLI (Daily Light Integral) to maximize yield.

Light Uniformity

  • Spider LEDs offer excellent coverage: maintain even spacing and level SCROG nets.

Preventive Pest Management

  • Bio-control, constant cleaning, regular leaf inspections.

Precise Nutrient Management

  • Measure EC and pH at every watering.

  • Set up automatic irrigation or scheduled feeding programs (even better with controlled drip systems).


Estimated Yield

With a well-tuned system:

  • Expected yield: 1.2 - 2.0 grams per actual watt
    (This means 700W = 800g to 1400g depending on management and genetics.)
