Why choose electronic ballasts instead of traditional electromagnetic ballasts?
Fast start-up. Reaches full power in less than a minute, whereas electromagnetic ballasts take up to 20 minutes to reach full power.
Completely silent. You have to be very close to the ballast to hear a very faint sound.
Small and compact design. A 600W ballast weighs less than 4 kilos compared to 8 kilos for an electromagnetic ballast.

The Colossus Electronic Ballast is specifically designed for double-ended lamps.
This ballast is suitable for HPS/400V, LEC 630, and LEC 1000 bulbs.
It features a microprocessor control that maintains the lamp's lumen level longer than traditional ballasts. It has a low start-up time of only 3 A per unit and IP43 protection. It operates quietly and is very lightweight, allowing it to be wall-mounted. It also features thermal and circuit protection. Intelligent digital "soft-start" technology. It is best when combined with Solux 600 and 1000 W lamps.
