A heater regulates the water temperature of the nutrient solution reservoir. It is submersible and can be installed horizontally or vertically.
We use the heater because a cold water supply can stress the plant, slowing its metabolism. If the water is warmer than it should be, it can lead to slow growth and oxygen deprivation, and could even lead to pathogen infection.
The ideal temperature is between 18 and 24°C.
For proper operation and longevity of the heater, unplug it 15 minutes before changing the nutrient solution.
